This is getting really suspicious, Toady-boy.

I'll get the ball rolling for you:

I work as a computer programmer/analyst for an insurance
company. I have no financial interests in any diet or
nutrition related business or product, nor do I have any
financial interest with any food or pharmaceutical company
    or business.

See, it is that easy. Now... it's your turn.

Let me get this straight, TC. You can speak authoritatively
on nutrition science because you're a computer programmer
and not a nutrition scientist???!!! You have a financial
interest in the programs you write: therefore they are
likely to be biased and full of logical errors? Is that your
kind of logic? If a univer- sity professor consults for a
food company, then his papers can't be based on objective
science, but are always and only based on the interests of
    that food company?

My strength is research. I am also good at recognizing
inconsistencies in science. I have made a study of nutrition
for more than three years now. I know more about nutrition
than most doctors. I have read most university textbooks and
hundreds, if not thousands, of research papers. I understand
the science of nutrition. My training in programming has
taught me to ferret out the truth in data and information,
    and meticulously I may add.

Any researcher who accepts money from the food or
pharmaceutical industry is suspect in terms if his
motivations in scientific research. Some are completely
corrupt, others are less so, and a few are incorruptible and
true to the science. That is the sad reality. It is our job
to filter out the wheat from the chaff and find the good
    science and villify the corrupt.

  12. This restatement of your failure doesn't the energy balance
model in the least suspect make, to date both theory and
emperical results in support of it have been provided,
    highlighting another failure.

    Quoted message said:

And oddly enough, after looking for the proof behind the
applicability of calorie theory to weight loss in humans
for many years now, I've yet to find it. And no one,
*including yourself*, has been able to produce it. Methinks
it dost not existeth. If it does please share it with us.
One would think that it would be easy to find, considering
that it is the very basis of modern nutritional science.

My point, all along, is... what have we based our science
on? When it comes to calories and weight management, it
appears that it is based on nothing. Assumptions? Guess
work? Popular beliefs as opposed to scientific fact. An
entire school of scientific thought based on nothing more
    than scientific thought.

Calories and weight loss ...no proof, no success (98%
    failure), no science......... Nothing!
