I'm considering a massage ( a real one), and was hoping someone might be able to tell me best/most
appropriate kind to get (i.e.: deep tissue, sports, etc.).
Thanks for your constructive input.

Not an expert on Massages (Either kind) but I suppose it will be dictated on the reason for
getting the massage. A relaxing "make me feel good" massage is very differnet from a deep
tissue work out the nots massage. One is rather pleasant, the other can bring you to tears.

Deep massage. Most people wait until they are injured for a massage. Incorporate it as frequently as
you can to catch those minor problems before they become major.
If I was allowed a second wife she would have to be a MT. 😉
As someone already said, don't get a deep massage to close to a race. My MT suggests 7-10
days before.

Deep tissue message is not recommended if you plan to race in the near future. It will make you
sore. Both are great therapies and I highly recommend a regular message as part of your
training plan.

Deep massage only really hurts if there are problems.
It can be very disconcerting.
