(WHINE WARNING LOL)
When do you decide that what you have done is "good
enough"??/
I have gone several weeks without any significant
progress... despite staying OP pretty well and exercising
religiously (6 times per week, cardio, weights, pilates,
yoga...) plus keeping up with two small children and a
new puppy....
All in all, I have lost about 40 pounds in 2 years, but
gained some back and I am still about 15 pounds over what WW
says I should be... I looked back in my book and two years
ago I was 25 pounds heavier, but 1 year ago, I was 12 pounds
lighter! So I know I am capable of getting to goal, I was
only three pounds away this time last year! I'm just tired
of working at this and seeing teeny tiny losses (.2, .4, .6)
and then a big 2 pound gain (yesterday) that I can't account
for..I am only allowed 20 points, which is very hard, even
when I eat all the exercise points...Maybe I should quit
eating the exercise points (I limit myself to 4, even though
I typically earn 6-8 on the days I work out)....I don't
know, I just always feel hungry...
On the other hand, I am almost 40 years old, can run an 8
minute mile, and wear between an 8 and a 10 (some 10s fit,
some are loose, some 8s fit, some are tight) so maybe this
is good enough? Would be nice to be able to wear all my
clothes....As Dr. Phil recommended, I threw away all my fat
clothes (anything bigger than a 10 for me) so I am afraid of
gaining more weight and having to buy clothes that are
bigger than my ideal...
I don't mean for this to be a whiny post, but I am
frustrated about not being able to succeed to the level I
want to, when so many people do....So, I guess what I am
asking is...one, what can I do to get to goal, any
suggestions? Or two, am I too hard on myself and should I
accept the fact that this is the best I can do, and work at
staying where I am..
As an aside, a friend suggested I switch to South Beach, I
started the book, but the thought of having to eliminate any
food, even for just two weeks kind of turns me off (all that
WW thinking is engrained in me!) Anyone have any luck on SB?
Insights would be welcomed and appreciated.!
