  1. As I'm trying to post things which are fun, rather than (to my
shame) participating in endless helmet threads, here's a
bit of prior notice about the Midsummer Madness ride.

For those of you who don't know it, for five years running cyclists
have been gathering in the dark and converging on Soho for coffee
before riding up Primrose Hill to see the sun rise.

Tuesday 21th June: Midsummer Madness. The magical summer-solstice sunrise
on the longest day of the year. Meet 2am: Cutty Sark Gardens; 2.30am:
Southwark Needle, south end of London Bridge; 3am: Bar Italia, Frith
Street 4am: top of Primrose Hill 4.43am: sunrise! 6am: breakfast at the
Island Café, Flat Iron Square. Southwark Bridge Road/Union Street.

And its not my show - I'm sure there will be feeder rides from all over.

I hadn't heard of this before but a work colleague was telling me the
other day about something like this. Probably was, in fact, this. Sounds
like fun - I'll see if I can make it.

I'd come along if I was in the vicinity, sounds like a hoot, maybe I
    should organise a local equivalent.

I would love to do this and would've if I'd known about it when I lived
in London. As it is I might take an evening train up.

Shall have to add it to the acf calendar...

I've pencilled it (very lightly) into my diary. My sleep patterns will
already be totally buggered by then anyway. We'll have to see.
