Today, the Minnesota House of Representatives passed the MPPA
re-enactment legislation by a 2 to 1 margin. The legislation now goes
to the governor for his signature.
As a bonus, Range protection was passed out of the Senate today and
will be heard in the House sometime tomorrow or Friday.
Again, you were perfect. Your communications to house members help
overcome some pretty step issues that had risen in the last couple of
days. So the first thanks goes to you Minnesota’s Second Amendment
Defenders. Thank you for your support.
Now we need to say thanks to the members of the house.
Speaker Sviggum. 651-296-2273. What can we say. Speaker Sviggum is a
terrific supporter. His counsel and support has been instrumental.

Rep. Larry Howes 651-296-2451 Rep. Howes was the chief House author
of the re-enactment legislation guiding it through committee hearing
and leading the charge on the floor of the House. Given the short
time frame for re-passage, Rep. Howes really worked hard for passage.
Rep. Tony Cornish 651-296-4240 rep. Cornish ( a DNR Conservation
officer) addressed almost every amendment proposed effectively
handling each. Rep. Cornish really stepped up to take a critical role
in re- passage.
