Nah, the guards they have/talk about are held on by the wheel the one in
my pic actually uses the rack bosses so are rigidly fixed and do not
interfere with the wheel fixing at all.

As can be seen that saddle is not the most servicable so may well change
it or at least cover it in tape (sweaty bum time) to cover up the rips
and stop water getting in this will have the added bonus of covering up
the "Apollo"
