Never when coming off the flu bug. Ever. Especially not with caramelized onions and bleu cheese.
Michael <- was told, did it anyway, as usual
This is precisely why you belong in the bozo bin! Quit calling it the flu bug already as it has already been established the flu does not affect the gastrointestinal tract and trust me *if* you had the flu you would be a hell of a lot sicker than you try to make out to be. Why don't you give yourself a nice coffee enema and call it a night? Perhaps that would help you get over your case of *whiners are us*. Nope, I think I was right the first time around - bozo bin! Bye.

LOL. Someone else advised about how bad steak tastes and feels on the way back up. I didn't say anything at the time, but it my mind I was thinking the caramelized onions of blue cheese would be worse than the steak, but couldn't imagine which of those two would be worst. I gagged thinking about them ;-)

I was wondering which one would be the worst as well. <g> You're just going to have to eat more easily digestable foods for a little while longer, Michael. Steak with onions and blue cheese! Yikes, I can just imagine that it wasn't pretty.
I'll come over and make you some pasta with parmesan sprinkled on top. Just no garlic or herbs that can set your tummy off! Okay?

Well, Duh!!! It's going to be at least a year now before you will be interested in that meal again. Bad Boy! Janet
Why is it when you get sick on something like that, you can't eat it again for a while? It's purely psychological, but it's happened to me before, too.

kili,
I'm the same. I remember as a kid eating too many Sunday pancakes, I'd lay down bloated claiming, "I'll never eat another pancake again as long as I live!" Until next Sunday. 😉

Food tastes and smells bring back good memories and make you feel good. Must be good at bringing back bad memories and maybe making you feel icky as well. Yuk! Janet

You seem like a smart guy, but seriously....you should know by now that if you've got a stomach adventure happening one day, and the next day it seems fine, it really isn't.

Is it just a waste of good steak, or is there more to it? (no need to go into too much detail)
Bob
The steak was great. I did a marinade. Without going into detail, I will just say the steak was very good.
Sounds like what we call, in IT speak, Straight Through Processing. :-o
Doc
Did you assimilate 😉

Gawd, I remember getting sick on something pink in college. It was a pina colada or something similar. I laid on the beach naked in Fort Lauderdale. I woke up roasted. Never have I been able to drink a pink drink again.
