I rode part of Rabbit Mountain today. All of the rain has exposed much
more rock, making the tough parts just that much tougher. I got stopped
a lot.
Anyway, a good chunk of the way up the ascent to the Overlook trail, two
women coming down stopped on the side so that I could get by them. As I
passed them, panting loudly through a grimace of exertion, one of them
called out, "You're crazy!" I said, "Thank you!"
That one little "You're crazy" gave me the motivation to get to the top
without stopping again. Yeah, I'm crazy! Yeah, I'm doing something
most people wouldn't have the guts to do! It feels good.
