  1. I was finishing up my ride today when I turned the corner and saw a
heavy-set 15y.o. on a white motorbike come 'round the bend about 20 yds
    behind me.

I kicked it up to about 35km/hr and checked the mirror and he still hadn't
gained on me after about 200 yds. Another 100 yds and I checked the speedo
    - I was doing 37km/hr and he started pulling up beside me.

I up shifted and pulled away a little and he steadily chugged up beside me
    and grinned:

    "Man, you're really crankin' it!'

It was very enjoyable riding side-by-side down the road on a cool 22C
evening at about 6:30pm, sun starting to cast long shadows for a while.

He pulled away and got about one car length in front of me and stayed there
for another 300 yards, me drafting off of him - he was moto-pacing me
perfectly. We came up to a hill and my turn off and I had just enough flat
runout to hit 42km/hr before breaking off.

    Now -that- was cool. ;-)

  2. cool. never tried 'suckin' a mbike. fumey?

i got a pearler behind a bus this morning.
Started at Burke Rd Kew, Hungon all the way up to Harp Junction and halfway up HighSt/cemetry-hill

got lots of hollerin from the skool-kids in the bus. waved tada as a went past bus as he inevitably hit the queue of cars. spun slowly into CBD as the lungs were-a-burnin from the workout. New bus model seemed to kickout very little fumes too 😄

niiiice... I'm still staying clear of High St for now.. Kilby Rd is my
current route, which is why I haven't seen you much on the regular
    commute...

Have to take advantage of these 'unsunny' mornings to hit Doncaster Rd up to
Shoppingtown.. At this time of year, and at that time of the day, it would
be suicide attempting that climb when the sun is belting straight down that
road.. even three lanes isnt wide enough for that sun-blinded driver
    attempting to 'drive by feel'..

    cheers,

    Nope, not at all.

It would have made a great Norman Rockwell photo. 54 y.o. guy on a Trek
racing/pacing a 15 y.o. grinning kid on a little motorbike in the golden
    glows of sunset..

Hey skinny, I don't think you'd make much of an impression even then.

Only poor cash strapped family men. How much, what size. I suspect even
before you went aneorexic on us I still couldn't wear your jerseys.

Doh! I love the Lotto top. Guess I better start preparing a business
case to see what budgetary approval I can gain. Will you drop you an
    email if I'm successful.
