Mounting a HAC4 Cyclometer with bladed spokes?

Take a drill the same diameter as the spokeblade is wide. Drill through the bottom of the slot in
the magnet. Slide the magnet on at a 90 degree angle and twist it right when you reach the bottom.
Attach and tighten the screw. Your magnet can then be placed anywhere on your spoke and sit better
than on a round spoke.

I've been able to put them on the bladed spokes of my Campy Eurus wheels, though the magnet appears
a little crooked and seems problematic. I'm probably just going to superglue a rare earth magnet
(very small one) to a spoke and go with that.

These things are the absolute [censored], aren't they? I've only had two gripes about my HAC4.

1) Static seems to affect it when I pull off a sweater and have the comp on the wrist band. Doesn't
loose ride info, but I lose current settings, like time, date or altitude.

2) Altitude gets hosed when riding in the rain. Since the barrometer is probably using one of the
tiny holes on top, a small rain bonnet may be needed, as one smack from a raindrop and you're on
a different grade.

Otherwise, it's awesome.

I was meaning to ask about how water resistant it was. I was afraid of exactly that - water getting
into the barometer holes. Doesn't sound like it causes damage - just skews the results.

I do have to add one or two of my own ... it's great and I love mine.

1. I pedal a lot above 100 ... I run the display on cadence and HR ... I do not see my cadence
go over 93 on the download, yet it goes above 100 for long periods on the display. Similar
seen in HR ...

2. The Ciclo-Trainer has a date problem with the download, have not figured why.

3. It does not "match" my other computer (running together) even though both were set per the
instructions (measured wheel size not from the charts) ... not a flaw just an observation.
The other makes me "feel" better since it shows me as faster ... kinda like public schools
now days;-)

I have mine at the top, and get the magnet close enough for a good read-out. The receiver is turned
