snarling dogs howling chased him down. There is also a one of the sound of three rednecks throwing
beer bottles out of a pickup truck approaching you from behind. John Cage's 4:53 is also popular
with a lot of cyclists I know. It also saves a lot of battery power.-Bill Asher

I don't listen to music when riding outside. I listen to cars, the wind, the stream, wildlife, etc.
Blocking out external sound is dangerous IMO.If you want kick-ass music for riding though, check out spinning.com's music forum or turnstep.com's
cycling forum. Indoor cycling instructors know everything about motivational music. For example:Primus, Those Damned Blue Collar Tweakers White Zombie, More Human Than Human Peter Gabriel, lots of
stuff Overseer, Horn Dog Fleetwood Mac, Tusk Lynyrd Skynyrd, Free BirdI took a class on a 15-minute simulated climb to Ravel's Bolero. Believe it or not, that
worked great.--

I prefer "Ride of the Valkyries" or "Saber Dance".
