Hi,
It's been raining a lot here and the local dirt crit course has turned to a
mudbath.
I've just moved up to A-grade and I'm finding the pace leaves no room for
error with tyre selction.
I had a Hutchinson python gold on the front last time and I could barely
take the sweepers without it sliding.
The course is full of very tight very muddy switchbacks.
I'm predicting a mud bath again this week so was wondering what
configuration people recomend.
I have the following tyres to choose from:
Hutchinson python gold 2.0 ([censored] in mud)
Hutchinson Squall (sp?) 2.2 DH tyres very gripy but very slow
Maxis Larsen TT 2.0
Brand new untested Michelin 'comp S light' 2.0
I was thinking of putting the Squall on the front and the Michelin on the
back.
Any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Duncan.
