  1. There was a large gift for me behind the Christmas tree. I just
couldn't stand it anymore, staring at that colorful wrapping. So last
night, when everyone was asleep, I crept up to the gift, with my flashlight,
and tore a little hole in the wrapping to see what it was. YaHOO Merry

Having a Colnago 50 will make it much easier to pretend you are a pro while you go on bashing them
    for alledgedly using dope.

    Good morning, Mr. Phelps.

Your mission this week is in two parts; first, to remain completely oblivious to the nature of the
object behind the tree until Thursday morning[1]; second, no earlier than Thursday morning, to act
completely surprised that there is a bicycle inside that large package. At no time between the
receipt of your orders and their successful execution are you to accidentally fall on the package,
knock it over, encourage the cat to shred the wrapping, or make revealing comments about keeping the
driveway clear for the launching ceremonies later in the week. If you should fail in your mission,
the family will disavow all knowledge of your relationship with them. This message will not self-
destruct in 15 seconds. Good luck.

[1] The diplomatic mission command advisor (codename: She Who Must Be Obeyed) may change the
timetable as required to fit the overall mission profile.

You're lucky. Due to my wife giving up work to have our daughter, I'm getting a Flite saddle which I
    ordered and paid for myself!

So you are saying that you'd be getting more for Christmas if your wife had denied you.

    Bob Schwartz [email hidden]

People that ride a lot get denied by their spouses and SOs all the time. You're lucky to be
    Undeniable.

Been there, done that. Now the cause has a stable of bikes of her own, and my time gets borged for
rides that might not otherwise have happened.

That's sad dude. Christmas should be a joyous time. I don't want to bum you out totally, but I
think I got a selle italia saddle also, in another gift a spotted, although I haven't peeked at
    that one yet.

  12. You have the perfect reply for those who thing you're crazy (or a poseur) for having spent so much
money on a bike. "It was a gift."

    Enjoy it!

What is sad is that you can't see his gift is infinitely better. I don't know how old you are, but
maybe you will understand some day (and maybe not).

Nick, I doubt that he would ever understand just how MUCH better a kid is than a C50. Hell, give me
a ride with my step daughters on my old $175 Colnago Super any day to a C50.
