But the peas need it!

We have an old rusted out Western Flier (frame is bent) that serves a
similar purpose. It usually has flowers in the basket or Christmas lights on
it in winter.

Nope. The bike I rode through the waist deep water is my current bike, a
Trek Y-5.

The bike in the above photo is a Raleigh Bighorn 12 speed. It's best
adventure was in '87 when after a 3 day blizzard I rode it on snowmobile
tracks all the way across Winnipeg over to Linda's. It was about -20F,
not even 4x4's could move yet. Downtown was just erie in all the
silence. I was endoing into snow drifts all over the place. Lots of
mulled wine and snuggling when I finally got to her place though <grin>.

Actually, I carried my bike across the water, while Linda "floated" her
bike through the stuff. Though I have ridden my bike in water almost
that deep (i.e the last time we rode that trail)

Angry had an old Firestone cabled to a post in his front yard. Two
years ago, some dork stole it when it was adorned with Christmas
lights. It was restorable though and he was pretty bummed out about
that. My Western Flyer "Sherwood Flyer" is unlocked and functional
decor in my front yard, used to coast down to TJs place for beer.
