I've baked my potato (a big one) and prepared it (cubed) for potato soup. I have chicken stock ready and bacon crisped and all the appropriate seasonings but it looks like I'm about to lose electricity for a while. I'm signing off. At least the temps are nice and cool!

It has rained for a solid week here.I'm tired of it. Dead bunnies and rain. That is all we've gotten.

Please!! Send some our way. We're suffering through a severe dry spell - farmers here are frantic. They had delayed planting, received a "teaser" light rainfall so went ahead and planted, and now we have gone through weeks of dry weather so they're fretting about their crops. Our garden is dry, dry, dry - but we're on a well so have to watch our water for sprinkling.

I've heard of it raining cats and dogs, but never rabbits. At least you can eat the fallen rabbits (socially acceptable in the US).

ObFood: Made a big batch of potato salad using Butter Gold potatoes. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the peeled skins in something constructive.
