  1. Hi all,

I am buying some roadshoes to go with my clipless pedals but i have seen a good deal on triathalon shoes. If these shoes are marked as triathalon does this mean they are only suited and designed for this type of cycling or can an ordinary muppet like me use them for normal cycling usage?

    Cheers

  2. It means you can swim and run in them. 😄

It probably means there's only one strap so you can get your feet in and out fast. Probably more expensive too since triathlon guys will buy anything.

They also tend to be heavily drained and ventilated so you can put them on with wet feet. Not a problem unless you ride in a lot of cold weather.

  5. Please post a link of the make and model...

    Hi,

Thanks for all the replies so far the shoes in question are Sidi Triathlon shoes with two straps its the only triathlon shoe they make i think if they make other triathlon shoes the one i am considering is the cheapest!

  7. Big hands, I wonder, is this a omen of things to come? How is your swimming and running?? 😄

Swimming and running ontop of cycling no thanks i moan enough when people cycle past me at high speed cant be doing with people running past and swimming past me on the sameday just not good. So i will just buy the shoes and get some secondhand triathlon trophies off ebay and just collect the the glory without the pain.

I think i will buy the shoes as nobody has said anything against them. So if you see a slow fat white man which pro triathlon cycling shoes dont mock him as he has trophies to prove his metal.

    Cheers

If your looking for a cheap pair of Shimano carbon soled road shoes check this out. This the cheapest I've seen this shoes in the whole world by at least 50%
These would be better than the Tri shoes if your doing more road riding.
Not many sizes left be quick
