I've had the same thought, but it's not like that. I'd shift eventually. This forces me to push
into a whole new threshold. It's kind of weird, but in a good way.

I disagree. I would have "bought into the hype" if I had just blindly bought an SS because others
do it (and maybe it appears this way). What I did was test ride this bike a number (I think that
number is four) of times before committing. I liked it made an offer on it and the former owner
and I had some trouble coming to an agreement we both felt was fair. I kept the bike for a while
and continued to like it more and more with each ride. I started to stop by the garage for
something and would just look at it's beautiful simplicity. I knew I had to have it.
Now it might have been the buzz around SSing that initially sparked my interest, but I've seen
first hand how much stronger my friends who have started SSing have become. I want to be that
strong. This is how to do it. In the mean time I realized that it's really fun. Much more fun than
I initially thought it could be. There may be some hype floating about, but I didn't buy it (my
posts will illustrate this). I'm also not saying it's for everyone. I just made an informed
decision that I'm now happy I made.
So there, smarty-pants.

Well, at least you acknowledge that the "HYPE" provided the initial spark. Your post show you made a
well informed, thought provoking purchase (x-tra points!) One that was made by you, for you. But
only after seeing the "hype" in all its glory. The part about your friends strength increase was a
"pro" not a "con" in the list. But only after you were bitten by the hype...
But its o.k. At the end of the day, you're satisfied, and thats the bottom line, right?
