I have lots of things on my kitchen worktops. Things such as a kettle,
tea/coffee jars, bread bin, breadboard, microwave and the like. Currently I
have a large bowl full of chopped up stale bread as part of the process to
make some bread pudding.

Nope mine has kettle, microwave, breadmaker, fruit bowl, etc but they
are not on that bit of the worktop. Kitchen is a bit tidier than usual
as the ugh-laws are coming on Friday but generally the kitchen is more
or less like that and it hasn't had a special cleanup for the photo.

Recent postings have had scarily clean kitchens. I used Other Peoples
kitchens to show off my bike, as I couldn't face cleaning mine <shudders>.
Eventually moved just to get away from it.

The microwave is just to the left of that pic the kettle is behind me
and the breadmaker is behind me and to my left the phobile moans are in
wee caddy things in the lounge the food proccesor whik thing is in the
cupboard behind the front wheel the assorted tat is in the drawere above
the cupboard behind the front wheel you can see the mugs we don't have a
toaster (we use the grill if we ever have to toast bread)and we use
margarine (well butter substitute stuff) not butter which we keep in the
fridge

Mine are not only covered in Things, but also Stuff - I really should
clean them occasionally.

A spice rack, you obviously do some cooking in your kitchen, whereas we
(mainly)use it for heating stuff up. Think the most esoteric stuff the
wife has ever made is spaghetti bolognese. I do the cooking (as opposed
to the heating up tins, putting frozen stuff in the oven etc). Oh and
photoing a bike (spot me desperately trying to drag the thread back)

Why does nobody else have piles of used plates and cutlery....?
And the pots of paint and sanding paper and brushes on the corner of one
worktop that are waiting for me to either finish painting the hallway or
put them back in the garage.
