It just uses a different design to adjust. Campag claim it's more
convenient to use, though it isn't. There is a screw but in a different
place to the conventional b-screw, and turns in the opposite direction to
do the same thing.

Look on the cage just under the body.

The B-screw moved position (in 2002, I reckon - I bought a Veloce rear
mech that year with the new-pattern screw) rather than being done away
with; it's down by the spring housing for the jockey cage. Does the
'03 Chorus have carbon bits, or did that come in with this year's
range?

Sounds good, along with the replacement frame you mentioned in the
other thread - enjoy the new goodies! My turn in just under a
fortnight, when I visit Mum & Dad and finally get my hands on the new
Fort and all the parcels of bits to go with it (acquired the elusive
adjuster/hanger for the front canti brake this weekend, at long last)
- a sort of 'dress rehearsal' for Christmas, I guess....

P.S. Are you still after any lower-ratio Campag-fit chainrings? I've a
surplus 48/39 combo at home - not in mint condition by any means, but
I don't really need them, so I'd rather they found a home (six quid or
so inc. post sound OK?). Drop me a line (with btinternet.com in
address instead of yahoo.co.uk) if interested; I can collect them next
weekend.

It moved in 2001. In fact that's a good way of identifying which mechs
are pre and post 2001 (for the sake of matching them with pre/post 2001
Ergos, if you want to).

Carbon came in this year. Which also means the price hiked up a lot,
so I deliberatly ordered the 2003 model. Rear mechs are fragile
things that get bashed a lot: I'm not convinced that a super expensive
carbon rear mech is a sensible thing on a bike that gets used a
lot and chucked around.

Me neither - I'd certainly never chance one on a 'cross bike;
admittedly, my new one has Sintema carbon forks - uncharted territory
for me, but time will tell as to how I get on with then. Carbon fibre
does slowly seem to be trickling down the Campag range, with a Centaur
compact double chainset on offer for next year - not sure if it will
be significantly cheaper than its upmarket cousins, though.

£350 RRP I think. Not exactly cheap.
