Hi folks I just joined the forum today and bought a new Felt Z85 54cm with the 105 group and a 105 crank . Could of bought a 2014 but it had the FSA crank, which I did not want . I'am in my early 50's now with a twenty year lay-off from cycling .Last bike I owned was a 1991 Cannondale when they were still being made here in PA. It also had the 105 group. So what are the thoughts on the Felt bikes ? I looked around and researched Treks , Jamis, Bianchi', Specialized ect.. I paid a little under $ 1200.00 for the Z85 and the only part of the 105 group not on this bike were the breaks . Purchased the bike in Ambridge PA from Ambridge Bicycle Center .

I thought the 2015 had Tiagra shifters?
None the less, it's a solid entry level road bike that will last many years. You won't be sorry you bought it.

About the Tiagra group ? yeah me too ! On Felt's website in the description it does list Tiagra as the group but if you click on the specs at the bottom of the page in lists the 105 group there ? I had the owner of the bike shop call Felt in CA and they stated " that was an error on their webpage " . About the Tiagra .

The 2015 should be full 5800 105 11-speed. Good components for the money. The crankset is stiff, the derailleurs work well, a bit slower than Campy and less refined, but solid performance. Don't know what brakes Felt is using...maybe lesser shimaNO models?
I'm impressed with shimaNO's pedals more than any other component. The are comfortable, stabile and secure.
Felt, overall, are good bikes. The Z85 appears to have a pretty upright front end. It should be a fun bike and a great machine to get back into cycling with.

I'm also impressed with Shimano's pedals. I was using a set of m530s the day that someone turned in front of me. Despite using single release cleats, my bike did not land on top of me, it sailed clear of me.
