Going home record so far is about 36mins. Ill be pushing it
tonight. So Ill report in with a time on Monday.
It is not a fantastic speed. Does anyone know if they have
any road/racers in the BikeStation at the moment? Im heading
there on Saturday to get a like-a-bike looky like for my
2 and a half year old son.

Are you after the "road" bike for your son? If so, I'm afraid the choice
is limited to MTB-U-Like offerings branded in the name of Macho Man /
Pink Girl. (Did that convey the appropriate level of disgust?)

If you're after something for yourself, there's a beautiful one on offer
at the minute. I don't recall the manufacturer, but if you ask to look
at any nice road bikes that they have, you should get to see it.

What route do you take on your commute? Have you ever sped past a bright
red laid-back stylee bike? <waves>

Excellent!

When I was in London the other weekend I happened to get a lift across
town from a mate and happened to notice their average speed recorded
by their on-car trip computer was 9mph. Now I'm a very fat, unfit
bloke and my average speed even when I rode around London the other
weekend was a *lot* higher than that. What is the point in driving,
huh?

No. Son is 2.5 and so I was after a very small bike to turn into a home
brew like-a-bike. And they had a very small raleigh that is perfect.
I started to remove the stabilizers and Jon said, 'STOP'. He said that
we have to go over it and make it road worthy (for a 2 year old :-)) and
they you can come back and take it away.

Im usually on a red brompton or sometimes on a green 700c hub gear machine.
Down Colinton Raod, across meadows, Chamber Street, North Bridge, Regent Rd,
Easter Rd, Links. Any changes to make it quicker?
