I've just been shopping for a pair of shoes which are wide enough for
British Standard Feet, and some bibtights big enough for British
Standard Blokes. For some reason I have to buy XL or XXL in bike
shorts, I think they are referring to extra extra large Italian
midgets.
Afer much trial and error I settled on some de Marchi tights and a
pair of Northwave Fahrenheit shoes like these:

On the face of it they seem very warm, they are made of good thick
fabric with a Goretex lining, and they are wider than $himano shoes
(not hard), but they are fitted only for Look so I will have to go
back to walking like a duck around the station.
This is at least in part a response to getting very cold indeed on the
ride home on Friday. Temperatures were about 5ºC, not even that cold
really, but my toes went white, which is rarely a good sign.
On the way home I made up another song, inspired by the PSF's comment
up there ^^^ somewhere.
You're everywhere and nowhere Angie
That's where you're at
Pretending all you need for safety
Is a plastic hat
Lying all around the country
And getting fat
Saying Aussie laws are working
When the figures are flat
And it's hi-ho polystyrene
And away you go now Angie
I see BeHIT is lying
And I will make a fuss
'Cos it's obvious
Guy
