That's awesome! I've tried to stand up ww a few times.. without success.
I can never push the tire far enough to correct my balance..

I havn't learned anything 'new', just improved on things... but you've
already seen what I'm talking about in the two videos I have 🙂

My newest skills are 'stand-up wheel walk backward'
(http://tinyurl.com/daoho), and the 'transition to side-ride'
(http://tinyurl.com/9o5pp). (videos, not pics, if that's allright)

How does Alick's unispin to stand-up glide work? Is that from riding
seat in front, then jumping up to the fork, spinning the unicycle on the
way up? I want a video!

I just learned standupww good yesterday. I made it back to the pedals
once, but I cant do it again. It took me about two weeks of off/on
practice.

And I learned to pedal grab on a rail and go over it.

JSM-- That's insane you're doing those tricks on (what looks like) a
24. I'm just a Muni guy who does simple tricks and even 1 foot WWIng
is way harder on a 24 than a 20. You must practice yoru ass off.

Yes it's a 24", and yes I do practice A LOT. Using a 24" makes stand-up
tricks a good deal harder, (I know from trying my brother's 20"😉 but the
extra 4" of height should also make them more imposing. When I can
afford it, I'll probably buy a good 20" freestyle unicycle, but for now
I'm happy with the 24".

Shamelessly posting the fact that I just learned how to do a spin today,
having accidentally done one while playing around in the circle I drew
for the level 4 requirement, and pirouetted out of it and rode away. It
was crazy. No pictures yet, I don't think there's anything noteworthy
going on with me at this point 😄

Just started trying to ww today, managed to get 3m. Although I know from
experience that's the easy 3m. The next two are going to kill me. And I
am going to love every second of it.

(p.s. - I am still incredibly dizzy and only came in from spinning
because I couldn't do one anymore. Anyone else on the 'practice till you
die' boat? I'm out for hours every day rain or shine, and I still can't
get enough!)

Amanda - nice progress! How far is your 'reasonable' distance?

My latest skill that I've been trying to learn is side-saddle wheel
walk. Not making huge progress, but at the rate I learn, ask me how I'm

It's not very impressive. Just a variation on a rolling mount that let
me get on when going down a moderate slope.

Both feet are in *front* of the frame. That is one of the reasons why it
is difficult (for me). It'd be easier if I had really long legs, then my
seat would be higher, then I could reach easier.

Your "side-saddle wheel walk" sounds close, but I'm using two feet.
