I hear you, Marlene. It was a beautiful day, here, too. It's our minhag to do tashlich on the first day of Rosh Hashana, late in the afternoon. Usually I go home and change into bike gear, and bike down to the lake for the ritual. This year, I took my mom with me instead, and so I didn't do the cycling. I really missed the exercise after sitting in shul all day.
Well... it's not too late to follow my lead and become agnostic. I feel equally glad about not sitting in a stuffy service as I do not having to get up on a snowy sunday morning to go to church... not to mention sunday school (as a kid of course). It has its advantages....LOL.

I went to the trouble of getting my bike boxed up for my trip to Shanghai and the first (possibly only) bike event during my time here started about the same time they were blowing the Shofar at the Chabad House.
