Noisy pedal

Just dripping a little triflow or something should be enough to give you several thousand more miles
before you have to worry about it.

It could also be that the cartridge bearing is moving slightly where it seats in the pedal body. A
little copper grease in there is a good idea ... actually any grease should be fine.. but I prefer
copper grease for things like that.

SKF or [censored] will probably make a bearing that fits (heck one of them probably made the originals) but
you would do best trying to get the "correct" bearing. Look closely at the one that comes out it may
be a mass market bearing with a nice neat part number on it.

Um, could it be that it's not the pedal at all?

If it's on the right side, it could just be loose chainring bolts (stack bolts).

That happens to me all the time. The chainring bolts loosen and you get a loud (metal stress) noise
when you hit certain parts of your pedal rotation on the right side.

You can tighten those up and see what happens.

Thank you for the advise. I have re-checked it and the problem still seems to be located in
the pedal.
