No, that'd be an aero, or a bladed spoke. Butted spokes are round, but have a narrower center section than straight gauge spokes.

The material properties of titanium is quite different from stainless, so "stronger" isn't a particularly useful word. For the same dimensions and loads titanium tends to be stretchier than steel. Given their scarcity it appears that titanium spokes don't offer that many advantages.
In the late 90's I approached my father about harnessing energy from my bike. He initially came up with something similar to the Reelight and about 9 years before they did. He even made it better. Unfortunately we struggled to find backers and so the idea was shelved. After I discovered the Reelight recently however, I've submitted a patent pending in the hope of creating new interest. The patent I've submitted needs 'beefing up' and my father is unfortunately no longer around. If you want to help me then let me know. The patent pending will run out in July 2013.
