Hi Gordon, welcome to the fora.
Good to hear you're getting back into unicycling. That makes it one
more of us and one less of them.

Rather than an FAQ, you might find some info pertaining to your query
by either 'searching' (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/search.php) for
it or by checking out the 'Review forum'

A search on '20" Koxx Freestyle' yielded 'these '

I'm afraid I can't be of any more help as I would fall over a Koxx and
not know it. I'm pretty sure you'll have a couple of people drop in
soon enough to share some opinions and suggestions.

If you're doing freestyle based skills, and can afford the expense, the
koxx freestyle is definitely one of the best freestyle unicycles you
can get. Although, as a learner, you're probably better off with
something similar but not quite so 'specialist'. Something like a
Torker or a Nimbus. Since the Torkers aren't available in the UK, I'm
going to have to pass over to someone who knows more about it, but
suffice to say you shouldn't need to go for such an expensive unicycle
to start with, there are cheaper options that will fulfill your needs
perfectly for the forseeable future.

Thanks to you both,

I’m a UK kinda guy myself 😄...

....so the nimbus??? I’ve seen it on unicycle.uk.com but there
are different varieties (II/X) what's the difference? And for the sake
of £60 would it be better, than say, getting a 'learner' one, then
getting a 'specialist' one (and more aesthetically pleasing)?

If you've got the cash to spend then go for it, the Koxx feels nicer,
rides nicer and looks nicer. It will last longer both in terms of not
wearing out or breaking, and also because your skill won't progress
past what is possible on it. The koxx is spankingly gorgeous, if you're
sure you're going to keep up unicycling, and that you're going to want
to do just freestyle you won't regret it.

The other post was made to the newsgroup (not the forum) using Google
Groups. That is a valid, if somewhat unusual, way of posting to the
same community. While it's not very helpful to post both ways (since
the posts should end up at the same places), I think there's no need
to have the other post deleted.

From the header fields that get sent with every post (c.q. with the
post in question). They reveal things like the full path that the post
has travelled, the e-mail address of the sender etc. My Usenet
newsreader can be set to display the header fields, but I usually have
it set at hidden because it consumes a lot of screen real estate.

I don't think that the unicyclist.com forum allows display of the
header fields. It does allow you, though, to spot that this post was
made by some other means than the unicyclist.com forum software. One
of the telltale signs is the "Posts: n/a" statement.
