NYC Area Route Advice Needed

There are plent of safe places to ride in the Bronx. I rode
down last year and am doing it again from MA. Look into the
Bx. River Paths from P. Parkway to 233rd, the Moshulu
greenway and the paths along pelham pkway out to o. Beach/
City island

mapping programs. I have answered the question of why not
Radoneering, before. My answer is that the ride may take
more than 40 hours as it did last year, 48 hours. Second I
ride from my front door and back to my front door. And
third it allow me to play with my GPS and Delorme route
making maps.

areas of the Bronx are a bit sketchy, but others are as nice

That is very true. The only parts of the Bronx I've seen are
what I can see from the Cross-Bronx expressway.

I was only engaging in a bit of only half-serious hyperbole
anyway. NO city is all bad, and all cities of any size have
bad sections as well as nice ones.

Well, there is a big selection effect there: any street next
to the Cross-Bronx is going to be less desirable to live on.

A friend of mine used to live in the last house on a dead-
end street that had been cut in half when they put the BQE
through. It was pretty loud esp. with the windows open. Rent
was cheaper though. Kind of like the scene in Annie Hall
where Woody Allen's childhood home is under the Coney Island
roller coaster.

brings you to Chadds Ford PA.
