  1. It seems to me that the new WW points system is far more liberal than the old. For instance, with
the old system, my wife had a max of 34 points per day. Now, with the new system, she gets 31, plus
1/7 of the Flex Points = 36. That's 14 extra points per day. Also, I who get only 21 points per day
still get that extra 5 point per day allowable by the Flex points. Wouldn't it make sense that I
should have less flex points than a much heavier person? Any comments? Thanks

  2. Seems to me your math is a tad bit off. The new system is more liberal, some have said it goes back
to the original point system as far as how many daily points allowed. Where your math is off ... you
wife actually gets 14 extra points per WEEK, not per day (she gets 2 extra points per day if she
    rations those flex points out).

It also appears to me that you are getting less points than a heavier person ... at least if you are
comparing you and your wife. She is getting 36 points per day ... you are getting 26. Am I missing
something here? I am goint to assume that I must weigh less than you (in the next lower point
range). If I was trying to lose more weight, I would be allowed 20 points per day, 25 if I ration
those flex points. Also ... what weight range are you in? According to the new points plan, you
would either be starting with 20 points (<150 lbs) or 22 points (150-175 pounds). None of the new
    ranges assign 21 points.

Although it is true that divided equaly there are 2 more points per day, banking is now not allowed.
You can't go under and save for the next day. Also, your activity points have to be used on the day
they are earned or they too are lost.

I am having a tough time with the new Tracker system but I like the extra points. I lost my last 10
lbs on the new system and am attempting my maintenance using it and so far so good.

As far as the Flex points, you have less points overall and that's what counts. As with the old
system, if you divide it out over a week you still get 5 per day, same as the old points range.

    Good luck on the plan.

  4. intuition might tell you this but the truth is that these are points you
would have eaten with a range. The only difference in the points is the 14
that each of us got added. Lee

  5. There were a lot of longtime members at the meeting I go to who were very upset at the change. The
leader responded by saying, "If things didn't change, we'd still be having to eat liver everyday"
which was a requirement in the 70's. My sister joined way back when they were doing that and eating
boiled chicken. YUCK! The way I see it, I used to get 20-25 points per day. Now my target is 22 plus
the 35 flex points, if divided equally would be 27 points per day (2 more than formerly). I have
heard that people would go under their minimum in the past and we really need to hit that target to
    avoid plateaus.
