One wheeled Segway

I was just talking with a friend today about whether a motorised BC could
work on a similar principle. We weren't sure but it'd surely be fun :-)

I have seen some designs for a one wheeled segway in a magazine article,
unfortunately I can't remember which magazine or what date. I suppose
the question is "is it possible?" One wheels provides the designer with
a much bigger challenge than two.
