  1. It has been fun these last 10 years..but apparently someone
here has taken it upon themselves to make a complaint to my
ISP every time I post here.. This person who has never
publicly said a word (and my ISP protects their privacy
still) wins. I hope they get all they deserve in life. Luv
ya all, bye to rfc. It has been great! Don't bother
    replying. Unsubscribing immediately.

The solution would be to find a new ISP. I looked a couple
of her posts and don't see anything wrong.

Somebody must have too much time on their hands. I wonder
how many complaints my ISP gets from the idiots here...?

That's not always easy to do when you have broadband.

That is better than the toilets in my house, which are not
friendly at all. They clog from diarrhea. One of these days
    one will get clogged up

grrr... when I buy a house I am going to smuggle in toilets

I sympathize completely. I'm in a brand new rental house
with brand new toilets. By the time I've flushed 3-4 times I
have definitely exceeded the prescribed amount of water.
    They're just no damned good.

Import a "container" of several toilets, along with assorted

There are still some good models out there. My daughter just
had theirs replaced about a year and a half ago with a new
toilet. This in politically/environmentally correct CA.
Lotta water and efficient flush. I was impressed cuz I've
seen those damn water saver types that spray the toilet seat
and two foot radius of the floor with dirty water.
    Disgusting.

I have a low flow toilet that I bought from Lowe's that
actually works. The bowl is shaped differently and it
flushes efficiently with one flush. It's also one peice so I
never have to replace tank seals.

I also paid $300.00 for it.

    Worth every damned dime too!

I live in an older house where I'm not plagued with low
flush toilets and hadn't thought about them much until the
first time we were driving home from Montreal. The last
several miles before the border are mostly farm land with an
occasional road side restaurant or gas station. Then as you
get closer to the border, you start seeing these out of the
way plumbing supply stores with toilets displayed on the
grass in the front. My boyfriend had to explain.

Shirley here from Canada. Regarding low flows, it's all in
the engineering. City of Toronto offers a bonus to switch to
low flows. Due to such complaints, they commissioned tests
on the available models, and now have a Recommended Product
List. Elsewhere in the FAQ is what characteristics to look
    for. These ones work:

I bought a new toilet last year, and it works great. It's a
one-piece that I got at Home Depot -- their house brand,
"Glacier Something." :-) It cost less than $150. That
includes everything except the wax gasket and the closet
bolts. You just have to make sure to get one with a glazed
trap. There were good 2-piece toilets for about $85.

It sounds like you got the $39 landlord special.

    Best regards, Bob

    or raid a junkyard.

We were at a party recently and ended up talking to a
plumber about "low flush" toilets. He said he knew the best
low flush toilet although it was "pricey". Well, we hated
our old one so much - 3 or 4 flushes (and we are on water
catchment), we hired him to come and replace our horrible
toilet. The plumber was right🙂 and we love our *Sterling
1.6 GPF* toilet. It cost about $130 or so but it really
works perfectly well! Such a flush and only 1.6 gallons. If
you are having any problems--ask a plumber about this kind.
You will be happy! No connection to the company--Just happy
with the low flush! aloha, Thunder

What's not right is this Laura's claim to participating at
