Lived here for 22 years and I could make a negative comment about
everything you mentioned. You forgot Betsy Ross and the Eagles too.

And to put this back to MTB, Wissahickon has been pretty much destroyed
by the floods in the past month. The city decided it would be easier to
just go through the park with a bobcat rather than repair the trails
correctly. So now the only local MTB venue is a muddy four foot wide
wreck. Anything remotely technical has been pretty much wiped out.
It's going to take years to fix it and the city doesn't want to give any
money to the park commission to help. The mayor would rather spend
$32,000 on a desk for his office. This has to be one of the most
corrupt cities in the country. It's a damn shame. The only beautiful
place in this deteriorating city will not get any attention. I could go
on and on, but that's for another place and time.

Oh about a block off of Market st. Thats along way from
Del. So you do ride a lot. What 60 miles round trip to work.

No. I live in South Jersey (Cherry Hill area) about 12 miles from my
office. I ride frequently in Deleware on Sunday's with the club.

Nothing like the days of Mayor Frank Rizzo. What about
Fairmount park. There is a race held there every year. Last time I was
in that area I rode the State Hospital in the NE.

For MTB, Wissahickon is part of Fairmont Park. The only MTB races held
there are adventure races. The "Friends of Wissahickon" are sort of a
watchdog group and they discourage the use of the park for racing. We
have been working with them to have a Poker Run to help raise money for
the flood damage repair. In NE Philly, it's Pennypack Park.

Cherry hill park and the horse track. And lets not
forget I got married there in 73 by the mayor. No I'm not married or to
the same woman. Ever ride Fort Dix NJ. Like next Lakehurst.

I was going to ride Penny Pack this last May when I was
in town for a party. I couldn't keep my head up from a
sinus infection that stayed with me all of May. PP was my fishing hole
right off the Blvd.
