OT - Towels

Well, I'm a lot smaller than I used to be. Standard bath towel size is
OK these days. The ones I saw in Tesco the other day were large hand
towel size. I'd need to sew two together.

And I'd need another one for me snaky locks.

I looked up that fabric once, a while back. No-one seemed to be selling
it by the metre. I thought it might make good bathrobes for holidays
and such, but no luck. If anyone sees a mench, let me know.

Ah, my hair used to be quite long but I now kepp it at about 1 - 2cm. It's
also receded and is now not down to my eyebrows (my hands don't scrape the
ground, either - I must be getting old!).

Before I saddle up and tank 55 miles up to Aldi Inverness or 65 miles
down to Aldi Perth, it would be nice to know which Aldi you got the
towell from.

enjoyed Great British Journeys last night with Nick Crane, anybody catch

Lidl certainly do regional offers but I'm pretty sure the Aldi offers
are in all their stores. No guarantee that they have any left though.

Yes, I saw he was driving the old Tomdoun road. I remember a comment I
saw once that it used to take days to drive from Glasgow to Skye. If
you look at that road and the bits of old road left round the
headlands at Shiel Bridge, take out the Morvich causeway all the
bridges that used to be ferries you can see why.

Yes. I wasn't convinced that he got further through the Lairig Ghru than
the Pools of Dee though. He said that the first cottage was at the Linn
o' Dee, but showed the one at Derry Lodge. He also didn't mention the
Corrour bothy.

The Aldi's in Livingston certainly didn't have them so I suspect this
is an English distribution only. Having looked at the price of the
LifeVenture ones in Tisos yesterday, three pounds odd looks a good
deal better a value !

As said, Aldi don't seem to differ between stores but might between
countries.
As this was on offer a few days ago it would be worth ringing.
The towel is impressively adsorbent and seems to dry out quite quickly (at
about 16C and a small amount of ventilation.
As for the distance: before there was a Maplin in Northampton, I went to
Reading for a multimeter. Did about 125 miles, so a good ride and back for
tea. Got more sense nowadays!
