But if that bothers you, man, what must you think of VeloNews.com? They're all about the press release. Sometimes, they even forget to write the "PRESS RELEASE:" in front of it.

How retarded can he be. I always had a lot of respect for Bruyneel but
he is not being smart about what any organizer would do. Lance and the
team won 7 times. We all know that. So why in the heck would ASO have
any interest in continuing to associate Lance with the Tour? Lance
should and will have the same prominence as all past champions. It just
so happens that this is the first time the previous champ retired (at
the time of the presentation of the Tour he declined to compete in). I
am sure the issue was discussed and there was an intentional focus on
the future competition and those likely to be in contention. Normally
the defending champion would get some attention because they are likely
to be a significant part of the upcoming Tour. This is not the case for
Lance so he needs to get over it. It makes perfect sense to me. This is
not a gentlmen's game, it is a world class sport event. It would be
stupid to draw the attention away from the competition just for the
sake of a past rider's ego (who needs no help in that department). They
used to say "it is the Tour that makes the riders, not the riders that
make the Tour.Bring on 2006.
Regarding LA , invite him the next time all of the past champions are
invited.
