I'm not sure about Pure Points but the difference between the 123 and Winning points is how they
treated fiber. Winning points caps the number of fiber grams to 4 while 123 did not cap them."Me" <[email hidden]> wrote in message "]news:[email hidden]...

I believe Pure Points may be the ww program that is used in the UK. Which would also explain why
there it only asks for calories and sat. fat - no fiber. The UK program only takes calories and
saturated fat into consideration when calculating points ... one of the variances between the
programs offered in various countries. In other conversations here, I believe these differences are
due because of the different laws as to reporting nutritional data. Fiber may not be readily
available on all items in the UK, but is required in the US.joyce

Thanks Laura - th reason I asked was that I just bought the electronic hand-held calculator, and
when you input info about an item of food, it only asks for calories and saturated fat - no request
for info on fibre at all, and nothing about the other fat. I also bought a "Pure Points" recipe
book, and a web-search for "Pure Points" brings up the ww site - so I'm wondering if "Pure Points"
is something new. I've asked ww customer service as well but thought I'd get a faster answer here. -
I recall that is one of the UK programs, Lee

Well they introduced the Points programme a few years ago but made some additions last year, so
I guess instead of changing the name they added the Plus. The oldies would then recognise the
old Points, but would notice that something changed. At least that 's what I think, I don't
know for sure.
