Polar display problem?

I have the same thing and think others do as well. Seems like it's reduced a bit since it was new though. I also have two cracks in the crystal in the very corners...going to send it in to Polar for a fix...also a new battery for the chest strap - it died after only a year. Aside from those problems, I've really enjoyed the little bugger.

The rainbow glare is supposed to be there. Prevent fogging and sun glare.

Silly, but just in case: are you wearing polarized sunglasses?

Polar displays are horrible with polarized glasses, the veins really stick out.

Wish I could say that but, no this was without any sunglasses 🙁 .
I guess this is something I'll get used too.

This may sound crazy...but before you leave for your ride...stick your Polar in the Freezer for like 15 min. The liquid in the LCD will 'set'. When you take it out, the wind from your ride will warm is up a bit and help to reduce the rainbow glare. My Training Partner does this with his computer and he swears by it.

In all reality...something like this shouldn't happen. Try the the Cateye 300W. It's awesome or the Cateye 300 with the heart rate monitor.

😕 Is this defective? Does anyone else’s watch do the same?
