1. My max heart rate has been significantly above average. Normal max is mid 190's. Now last four rides which in three of I shouldn't have been over 175 has read between 203 and 212. I am riding the same rides. No utility lines to throw out a 227 like I occasionally get.
2. It has been reading my speed and distance as twice what I was doing. It was almost like there was a second magnet on the wheel (there wasn't). Feel like Theo Bos now. 🙂
3. For a longer period of time I get an EO or something like that in the bottom right corner.

Ideas? Thanks.
1. Sounds like interference or a weak battery in the transmitter. I'm assuming you're using the WearLink transmitter that came with the S725. If so, replace the battery and you could try putting a little piece of aluminium foil in each of the female connector holes to improve the connection. You could also do as I did 12 months ago and replace the WearLink with a T61 coded unit (never had a problem since. The WearLink IMHO is absolute [censored] and should never have been sold with any Polar HRM).
2. Sounds like you using the incorrect speed sensor. This is a documented problem with using the new CS style sensors with the S series HRMs.
3. E0 is indicating that you are in BasicUse mode ie you have set a specific exercise set. Check the manual for details on how to do this
Why are you selling your Ergomo unit? I was thinking about getting one myself. Do you have the Polar power unit? If so, how does it compare to the Ergomo? I have a Polar S725 but stopped using it due to the altimeter working only 25% of the time. I'm currently using an Edge 305. Its not too bad but the avg. cadence and total calories are not accurate.

I bought it with the intentions of putting it on either a road bike I was building up or my XT-R V1 mountain bike. Due to good luck and bad luck neither bikes are around anymore. I got a great deal on a road bike so I scrapped the project, and then my mountain bike got into a car accident... I don't have athe polar power, didn't really want the headaches I've read about, let alone all the wires etc... I know someone with an ergomo and they really like it. 🙂
I had the same problem with my s725 showing twice my speed. I took off the speed sensor and removed the battery for a minute then put it all back together. that fixed the double speed thing. Must have reset it self.

Changed the battery in the transmitter. Now the HR functions properly. Thanks.
Sorry to be thick, but can you elaborate on the process of how you changed the battery. I've found the little screw cover on the back but mine just has an arrow that points to open or closed. Once I turn it to open, it won't turn farther and I can't get the cover off either. Please help.

Thanks in advance.
It won't just pop off without any prodding otherwise it probably wouldn't be water tight.
Just turn it to 'open' and whatever you are using i.e coin, knife edge etc, try to pop it open with the little bit of leverage created by being in the 'slot'.

Hope this helps...
Thanks for the info, I'll try that. I appreciate it.
I've experienced that as well recently, but a new transmitter fixed the problem
I rode all winter with my 725 as my HRM and bike computer. Even on some super cold days (teens farrenheit), it still registered. I had a Sigma Sport Wireless previously and after about a mile in sub 30 deg F temps it would go dead on me. Not to get off subject but how do you like your Paris? i have a couple Pinarello's and I saw my first Paris a few weeks ago. Stunning beauty for sure.
