Smith and Wesson sell a bike under their name to the Police (in the US
probably). Pashley sell one here IIRC.

ISTR coppers in Southampton using Giant MTBs -- I've only ever seen them
once, though, so perhaps it was just an experiment.

I've seen a Smith and Wesson police bike in London.
    Also Cannondales.

Is that in Smith and Wesson who make firearms? Waht optional accessories
can you get for the braze-ons?

I've seen Smith and Wesson bikes in use by the police in Eastbourne.

Have you considered asking around your mates? Perhaps one of them
might have a police bike and be able to help you out with some info or
at least ask his mechanic if he really can't identify the parts
    himself.

Does Pashley sell the rest of the Smith and Wesson line?

I started having fantasies about Britsh westerns - has anyone read
"Aberystwyth Mon Amour" and "Last Tango in Aberystwyth"? Louie
Knight could use a Pashley Smith & Wesson.

I reckon an old Welsh-built trike would fit the bill, then he could keep
on taking the train outside Aberystwyth itself. Mountain bikes wouldn't
fit it, it'd be too easy for fugitives to escape across the mountains to
    Shrewsbury.

    Anyone for allt.fan.malcolm-pryce?

Sounds like my first bike, a BSA (Birmingham Small Arms).
