PowerLung? Breathing Thing

Ventilating air is not the limiting factor in exercise for healthy people. Even asthmatics get
better results from medications.

A friend of mine has researched and published in peer reviewed journals several studies showing that
training respiratory muscles does little to improve performance. You can search PubMed for Williams
(his last name and he currently is at Texas Tech). He did one study with the Miss State XC team for
instances. A European researcher keeps finding a benefit, but no one else seems to be able to
replicate his results.

I'd have to agree. Lungs are not muscles... I'm not sure how this thing would work, but perhaps both

Nothing I saw on their webpage convinces me that we've missed anything. They're just appealing to
the (incorrect) intuition that being out of breath implies that your performance is limited by your
capacity to inhale, which is, as we all know, utter nonsense.
