anybody else having problems with disintigrating seams on the pearlizumi attack shorts?
I usually have had great durability with pearlizumi products, but the most recent shorts I got dont seem to be holding up very well... front seam has broken and unravelled after only 10 hours riding and one wash. not a good thing unless button-fly shorts become accepted style.
I thought I'd ask to see if other people are having problems, and maybe we need to see if pearlizumi can change the thread or something to get these shorts back up to par.
I have two pair that I wear regularly and I've been wearing them regularly for about a year. They've held up quite well ... better than the two pair of microsensor shorts I've bought more recently.
Of course, since mine are a year old, there may be some changes.

I had a similar problem with a brand-new pair of PI Attack shorts last spring. The first time I put them on at home, I gave the front of the waist elastic a few tugs to lift the shorts in place and the front (vertical) seams separated. Threee tugs, three split seams in separate locations. I replaced them under the store's warranty. I've bought other PI shorts since then and haven't had any more problems. But I'm very careful now about how much I stretch the lycra.

i've had problems with perl izumi gel-lite gloves. seams started coming apart after about 2 hours of use. this persisted. i've made several seam repairs. the serged edge of the fingertips is also coming off. the reflective tape PI logo has peeled off, also; PI should be glad their name is no longer associated with such sub-par products. this is the first, and last, time i buy PI products. ymmv,

I've had good luck with PI for the most part. I did return one defective pair of gloves to their office and PI promptly replaced them. Otherwise, for the other PI products I own, the stitching and detail work are first class.

I bought some of PI's lower end bib shorts a couple of months ago from Nashbar. I took them out of the bag and but them on and heard a popping sound. Looked down and the seam near by belly button had ripped.
Never had that happen before.
