I wasn't too surprised that many didn't seem to ride the opening stage flat-out, but guys who are counting on decent GC placement (such as Levi) ending up that far down? Strange day indeed. Made even stranger by only a couple of people (Zabriskie & Lance) with killer times, and the rest starting at nearly a minute down.
