Dunno if it helps but I've been running in Mizuno Wave
Creations and over the past few years they've morphed into
boats, so I've been thinking of giving Saucony a try. I
understand that they've got narrow heels (me too) but I'd
heard that they have roomy toeboxes. No more?

The Saucony pair I just bought has a heel narrow enough for me and plenty of
room in the toebox. I only had to try on about 5 different pairs of shoes to
find these! I got out of the store in not much more than an hour!
I put in some Superfeet insoles for a bit of extra support & to raise my
foot a bit so the anklebone doesn't hit the side of the shoe. Yes, I tried
the whole assemblage out in the store, including a few minutes on their
treadmill. I'd already run for over an hour that morning so my feet were
already in full running-swellup mode. (I think their treadmill readout
is....optimistic -- it *said* I was going 6+ mph but I don't run that
fast!) It's all worked well for a few runs of 30-60 minutes so far.
I wear running Thorlo sox, too, to help fill in the space. My feet aren't
quite narrow enough for "narrow" shoes but not wide enough for "medium"
either. Years ago I used to be able to buy "A" width shoes (regular shoes,
not running shoes) but they haven't made those in eons. I have a terrible
time finding dress shoes (no-sox-shoes) that I don't walk out of.
