Used sells for about half the price (but it needs attention to detail) and ex-display sells for less too. Last season sells for 30% less or something.

  3. as long as i can find something that is good for long rides, can hold me pretty well right now and get better as i lose the extra pounds i will be as happy as can be as long as i can stay in budget 😄!!!

  4. Are you only able to spend about $300 for a bike? If so you may want to consider this: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/windsor/wellington3_IX.htm
Or this: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/mirage_xi_steel.htm More to think about...aren't we cruel?

  5. I'm a little low on fund but ya somewhere in the range of 300-500 for a bike

  6. that Windsor looks pretty good and its in my price range, if I get something like that I should probably upgrade the tire tubes cause im a big guy yes? but should I do anything else other than that?

  7. You may want to spring for a gel saddle or saddle cover- when I first started riding back to riding at an embarrassing 220lbs, that made a big difference in terms of comfort. Now at 160, I don't find it necessary, both because less body mass means less pressure, and because I am now conditioned to the feel of the saddle.

  8. definitely will do, I don't want to have to do what jezza did on top gear and put that burning cream on lol
