I ran in race 3 of the Arizona Road Racer's Summer Series today. It,
like the other four races in the series, was a 5K. Based on past
performance and on my training runs since the last race, I had estimated
that I would do about a 14:15 mile pace, and hoped to do a 14:00 mile
pace.
The course was at the Victory Sports Center in Glendale, AZ. <a

I did better than I had hoped: 13:14 minute mile, 41:07 total. This is
a personal record for this distance. My best previous 5K was 13:41 per
mile, and that was in December, when it was much cooler. My splits were
split pace
1 12:39
2 13:00
3 14:05
4 12:53
