  9. Hey Fred, you thawed out up there yet?

I talked to my son Saturday (he lives in Battle Ground). Took him 4 hours to get to work in Portland
Friday (23 miles). When he got there they said they had changed the message on the weather phone &
they weren't supposed to come in at all. So, he ate lunch & turned around & went home! When he
called in before he left home, the message said to come in if they could get there by 10 am. Not
dreaming it would take him 4 hours, he went to work!

  10. Whether (weather?) you believe it or not - today was near record highs! It is 50F at 10:30pm. Very
mild. Tomorrow is also suppose to be mild but very wet.

Portand got drubbed. They got the cold air coming west through the Columbia Gorge and that hit the
    moist air - instant ICE.
