The rack is definitely not as useful as the front pannier, but it is essential for those occasions when you need to carry a large box of stuff, e.g. 5 reams of paper or half a case of wine.
True, but occasions when I need a small fold have yet to coincide with occasions I want to carry Serious Loads, so for the SLs I take the 8 Freight. Which can carry several cases of wine or boxes of paper!
(I hereby predict that Guy's next cycle will be a cargo cycle of some sort, since he Obviously Needs One... ;-))

Why the T6 rather than the L6? Although I have no experience of either, it seems as though the general opinion is that the rack on the T6 is of limited value, and that the L6 represents better value.

I've taken 5 reams of paper in the pannier. Also a shower unit, two dozen bottles of beer and numerous other items. It makes the handling a little odd, and the Brommie tries to fold itself when stopped, but it can be done.
