When you slow down you have to push off again like skate mount... other
than that I can't help you. Not rubbing on skate mount is pretty hard,
I can't even do skate mount...

  8. Sounds like the cones (thats what I call them) are tightening down.

There is the nut that holds the plate/frame on, and then on the axle
there is two more nuts, they should be torqued together so they don't
    turn freely.

Might want to use a set of wrenches to hold the cone nut in place while
you tighten the outer nut on.

That's a lot of talk about nuts.

now It spins freely. i haven't put the plates backon but when i do
i'll getmy dad to hold them while i thighten the outer bolts

  11. Having BC Wheel Plates has nothing to do with the fact it is a bike
    wheel.

You loosened them too much, you need to tighten them just enough so the
axle doesn't rattle or move around (minus spinning).

Make your plates like 'this.' (http://tinyurl.com/ygxny7)

But use steel tubing, not solid square stock.

I learned on EB plates, I can't ride platform plates at all, I slide
off of them, can't stand the full foot support.

    'These' (http://tinyurl.com/ygxny7) are "EB" plates.

Bedford plates are a flange design, with a full platform.
