Anorexia beckons
Err no, it most certainly doesn't. Sdaly I was incredeibly overweight and it'll take a long time to lose it. I was verging on morbidly obese - now I'm not. Now I'm *almost* merely overweight as opposed to obese.

Cheer up, I though you were but a slip of a girl when I met you in Paris after you had finished the Tour de France (well, the Randonnee anyway!)

Rob (Tall Bloke)
Dear Rob the tall bloke :-)
You are a sweetie, but alas I was not a slip of a girl. I was a lot slimmer than I had been, but I'd put it all back on between then & December 04. BAH! Double BAH! I am now slimmer than I was in Paris, but still am officially obese but almost merely overweight. HURRAH! I aim to get to a healthy weight for my height and stay there (that's the hard bit).

I aim to get to a healthy weight for my height and stay there (that's the hard bit).
You just need to grow a bit more. I had to get to 6'6" before I was the right height for my weight ;-)
H'mmm. When I was first 6'3" I was exactly twice the weight that Waffly has lost. Sadly, I'm nearly double that now. There is a happy medium somewhere between the two.

Unless my arithmetic is up the spout, that is still less than 13 stone, a perfectly reasonable weight for your height.

That'll be somewhere in mid yorkshire then?
If I lost the same as Helen, I'd be down to something appropriate for my height..

A perfectly reasonable weight for someone _else_ my height, yes. Not one _I_ feel comfortable about. Eleven stone would be nice.

What's your body fat percentage? I reckon height v weight is as close to totally unreliable as makes no odds. I've been borderline obese on the BMI charts with body fat of under 15%.

I'm 6'2" and if I drop to, say, 12 and a half stone (not much chance of that these days) then I find that whenever I go somewhere to eat I get given extra large portions as I tend to look rather emaciated. That extra inch you have Simon will have people cramming Mars bars down your gob 🙂
