working) *
I will try to help out here. During my testing of my steps, my computer
continued to freeze at the applet window. But maybe something in my
steps will help out, nevertheless.
Click on the login button on the upper right. If you can’t see it,
enlarge the screen to full size.
BTW, the log in is case sensitive. I tried my other screen name and it
didn’t work, so I typed it in with the upper case letters in the correct
places and I was able to log in.
Once you log in, you will see a screen and in big bold letters, it says,
“Hey Add some photos”
1. Look up to the right and there is a pull down menu entitled, “ <admin
options>”
2. click on the down triangle next to admin options
3. at the top of the pull down menu is “add photos”
4. click on add photos
5. Now wait a few seconds
6. You will see a screen that has some tabs at the top for the applet.,
but there is also a popup that says something like, “Do you want to
trust the security of this applet?” or something like that. Just click
yes.
7. Back to the Tab menu. Click on the applet tab. I just tried this,
and it wants to download the applet automatically (my online just froze
the four times I wanted to do this). However, when I first got the
applet several months ago, I downloaded at night, following the prompts.
I started it just as I went to bed and by morning it was downloaded. I
have dialup so it took a while.
8. You will see this “ Use the Gallery Remote Mini Applet to upload
pictures. It will take a short while to download.”
9. The following steps are from memory, because at this step it is
freezing up, but I will try to help. As I recall, you have to do one
big download for the applet and every time thereafter, you have to wait
a few moments before uploading when you have to add photos.
10. Eventually, a window appears that asks you to add photos. You will
have to browse your computer to find the image. Click on the image
names you want to upload. Then, I think there is an upload button or a
submit button. Click or double click on it.
11. Depending on your hookup and number of images, this might take a
while.
12. Now, lets suppose you uploaded two pictures successfully. You edit
those and give them descriptions and then decide you want to add more
photos. Go back and do all the steps to add photos. You will do this
and then you might see, “Problem…” ignore this and keep on clicking on
the images you want to upload. It will work. For some reason, I have
this happen every time I want to upload more images, but with a break in
the upload session.
13. Hopefully that will help.
