Amazingly (if that's a word) the storm took a jog to the east just
before it hit the coast which put us on the wussy side of the eye.
Lynda and I were prepared for the worst but all we got was a large limb
that hit the roof and dinged a couple of shingles. We hunkered down in
the hallway and actually fell asleep during the storm. There are two
trees down in the pond and a bunch in the woods, but none fell across
our road. It's going to be a [censored] to repair the trails. There are a
lot of twigs and branches I'll have to remove from the trails or risk
yet another derailleur.

Our power was restored this morning but our generator had done a great
job providing us with a working fridge and pump.

I saw the house I recently rented on the news tonight. The house next
door was gone, pilings and all, but "my" house was still standing.
